    Ian G. C. Miller - with google translate - Ian G. C. Miller

Nothing more on Ancestry - maybe an idea to reference Scottish records as well as after 1915ish Scotland kept the records to themselves.

It seems Sgt Bell washed ashore as well but his gravesite was lost.

    Thanks alieneyes.

Definitely not something I have any knowledge of, but isn't it a bit strange that they would know he had been buried, but no-one would have recorded the location of his grave?

    Cheers,
    Dave

    Hi Dave,

Not really. There are literally hundreds of cases where remains were lost.

This is one case I spent a lot of time on: F.O. Percy Bruce Crosswell

    Regards,

    Dave

    Dave,

My apologies, I had no idea. How very sad for their families.

Having looked at your thread, it is heartening to see that your hard work had a result that was so much appreciated by the family of F.O. Crosswell.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Ian Miller (he was known as Graham) was my mother's brother. I believe he was 19 at the time of his death. I have some photos of him and others in his squadron. If you would like any specific details feel free to get in touch. My mother is now 95 but pretty sharp!
