Over the next few months I intend to scan up some 200 WWII Allied Technical Intelligence Reports on file at the US National Archives. I will post some of them here for download, and on my Digital History Archive Facebook page - Digital History Archive | Facebook

The first download is a report from the British 21st Army Group, dated 21 May 1945 and titled "New Super Heavy German AFVs." While there is quite a bit written about the Maus and other German super panzers, here is an opportunity to see an original intelligence report by those who were there. You can download the report here - http://downloads.sturmpanzer.net/MLW/New_Super_Heavy_German_AFVs.pdf

I invite you join the Digital History Archive Facebook page because, not only do I offer other free downloads there, but I will pick a member each month to receive any one product of their choice from my product list for free!

Lastly, anyone is interested in the Westwall, I am still offering the seven color US Army Signal Corps photographs of the Westwall near Steinfeld, Germany. If interested please email me at digitalhistoryarchive(at)verizon.net. The photographs are too large to post here or to email. I will send them via a file transfer site.

    Hello Mark,

Looking for reports of artillery units involved in the Bastogne siege (Bulge) between Dec16 and Dec31, 1944.

Are these types of reports avbl at NARA ?

    Thanks

Generally yes. The WWII US Army unit records at NARA are extensive. Some units, of course, kept better records than others. Unit records include intelligence summaries, administrative reports, and operations reports. PM me or email me at digitalhistoryarchive(at)verizon.net if you have more questions.

    Regards, Marc
