    My oriental poppies are white.

Started buying for my victory garden in the weekend (love those heritage toms), now just have to wait until this c****y weather passes so I can get it all into the garden. o_O

Talking of gardening,my father had a 'Rememberance' rose, he loved his roses. Also regarding the Lancaster. My son is base drummer in 3rd Davyhulme Scout & Guide Band. On their badge is the logo of a a Lancaster bomber, as 2 of the founder members of 3rd Davyhulme Scout Group worked at Metrovicks in Trafford Park where they were made!

Most of my roses I don't know the names of, but we have 3 Loving Memory's, and yesterday I bought some Flanders Poppies. :)

    Guys,

I use my Dad's old shovel in the garden.

It's in excellent condition and it has LNER 1943 stamped on the top of the metal part of the handle.

    Does that count?

    Regards,

    Nick

Photo of one in our garden.
    The yellow rose.
Edit: Added photo of it a day later a lot pinker.

Think I killed that one a few years ago when redoing some fence posts so replaced it at the weekend.
    The red one.
