Garswood Camp 50

    Pic attached is of Garswood Camp - but is it of the pow camp or the US troop base that was there? Can anyone tell me if that is a US lorry?

    Here is one US unit that was in Garswood, the 313th Infantry Regiment. I’m “assuming” that Garswood Park is the “Garswood Camp” you are speaking about?

    And this US Unit seems to have been responsible for constructing “tented camps”, one being Garswood

    1. Garswood Park also became a temporary home for HQ 317th Infantry Regiment. of the 80th Division and the second and third battalions of the regiment 7-28 July 1944, plus the 315th Field Artillery Battalion.
