I think it is time for me to admit - I'm a modeller.

It's ok, you're among friends here.

I come across this kit today. The guy who did it has way to much free time .... It's 1:24 by the way

I think it is time for me to admit - I'm a modeller. I'm addicted to plastic, resin and glue. These days I only model 1/35 British & Commonwealth artillery subjects with the odd fantasy figure for some light relief. Here's a recent piece, Resicast's Airborne 6 pdr and crew.

Thanks Owen and Tom. As I put in my profile on one of the modelling sites:-

I have been model making seriously for over 30 years now but I'm going to keep at it until I get it right.

    Derek,

Thats the problem with modelling, whether scratchbuilding or kit building, you always think that you can do better as you alone are aware of any minute defects:D

Very true Tom. I'm not a perfectionist or rivet counter but I do like to get the model looking as good as I can.

Drew, I'm sure I can find a few more pics. I'll post some more next week as I am at a model show at RAF Cosford tomorrow. No 25 pdr in the collection as yet but I am working on several scratch built versions.

Great diorama Derek! I hope you have some sort of cover for it to keep the dust off! :D

    Best regards,

    Paul..........

A bit late but here's another of my models. This time a Bofors SP on Morris Commercial. This is a resin kit but it has had a lot of detail improved or added and the platform corrected. The company used the gun from their towed kit and the platform was too large for the SP version.

    Looks good :)

Perhaps a bit of matt spray on the figure to remove that little bit of gloss it still has?

I'm loving some of the models in this thread - fantastic stuff.

I've just started my first model in 15 years or so, a B-17G to be displayed in my Dad's museum - gonna be a custom paint job with custom decals. Also gathering the history of the crew that flew the plane. Been at it a little over a week in my spare time, so I'll have some photos up soon.
