To save the publisher's honor: I would like to suggest to the cover designer that he didn't realize the difference.

I myself am glad that there was no T-34 burning in the background.

Seen in Von Maur, an American high end dept store. I was there against my will.
They also had the main image reversed so that the part numbers were backwards.

I guess the Japanese had a nuclear bomb after all.

They even had two...at least for a few miliseconds
However, the aircraft pictured reminds me more of an Italian 5 series fighter, although various details are not correct.
Although in view of the technical description this does not matter much....would like to know what the artist has been smoking.

You're probably right. I thought it was a Kawasaki Ki-61.

Doesn't really belong here, but somehow fits the title perfectly

That's like an invitation to the average Britischer to behave exactly oppositely...

Picture was labeled Nov 28, 1941.
First thing I noticed was the massive marine growth on the bow, which would never be there before the US entered the war. Then the Hellcats, so 1943 or later.

The photo is an official USN photo which exists in their national archives. It officially dates to 10 Oct 1945 when Enterprise was en route from PearlHarbor to the Panama Canal and eventually New York on her first Magic Carpet trip eventually arriving 17 Oct. It was one of a series taken during this trip.

In reality it was probably taken a few days earlier as, by the 10th, she was tied up at Balboa and hosted the Chilean President on the 9th.

I'm not quite sure if the Leopard 1 was used in the Continuation War . :-P

Factually correct, those tanks were employed in the region. Just a slight dating error.

'Tank Force' or 'No Time to Die' starring Victor Mature and Leo Genn (there's an odd combination!).

Not watched but am tempted to try and find it

It's not a great movie by any means, but not terrible either. It's worth a look just to see Cromwells careening around in the desert.
