Hi all, Thought this might be of interest to students of The Battle of Arnhem, Paul Hendriks is a very dedicated and knowledgably chap and will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, his exhibition has a great collection of DZ and LZ aerial photo, and also Miss Starkeys fuselage section, regards lofty
Hi Lofty, Thanks for showing the photos was over there myself last weekend.. Cheers Tom PS I did get some photos of the Glider on Wolfheze which I didn't have...
Hi all, I have had Paul Hendriks from the Glider exhibition at Wolfheze, to stay for a few days and we have been off up country and obtained some more Horsa parts for his exhibition these include a complete starboard tailplane, an aileron, a centre wing main spar (22 feet long x 3feet high) more seats, and 4 fuselage bulkheads, and many other small and almost impossible parts to find, these are in store here, but will soon be taken to Wolfheze to add to his now formidable collection. The exhibition is now closed, and will reopen the last weekend in March. regards lofty
Hi Philip, Paul told me that Glider body came from here in the UK... Lofty did you take the same photos as me LOL:p
noticed any mod tags on them Lofty? Never noticed any Philip but a lot of parts and no time to study them yet, Tom I delivered Miss Starkeys fuselage section to Wolfhaze, in 2003, see pictures, after collecting and storing it for some time here in England, it will be much the same for this expedition except the 24 feet long wing spar makes this a little more difficult, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE it will happen regards lofty
Hi all, Just returned today, having spent the last 5 days in Wolfhaze, I arrived there on Tuesday with a lorry load of Horsa parts for the Exhibition of Paul Hendriks, many of these parts when displayed will help you appreciate the size of a Horsa, the Exhibition opens again shortly, I will put the dates and times here ASAP regards lofty

Hi Philip, all credit must go to Paul for finding these parts, all I do is help where I can, with the storage and transport, hope you enjoyed your visit, regards lofty
Yes, I did told him about the slit trenches on the LZ near Urquhart gliders he didnt' knew about ,will go see him within a short time for some info for my Horsa publication.
Update The wings main spar has now been put up in line with the fuselage section, its this big structure going across the fuselage that the screen removal, and removable steering wheel on Jeeps was required to be able to pass under. I took a couple of pictures recently, not brilliant pictures, but you can get an idea, the spar is 24 ft long, the last picture is a tailplane (one side). regards lofty
Thanks for the update Lofty together with photographs. The Glider Exhibition at Wolfhaze is on my long wish list to visit one day! Lindsay

Thanks to Lofty, I now know where the Cholsey Horsa ("Miss Starkey's Glider") has landed. For anyone that wants to know, I have many photos of the fuselage just prior to its rescue and will be corresponding with Lofty and Paul to make them available.
