Hi All, Had a lovely time at the National Arboretum, over the last few days... And had the pleasure of meeting lots of people and took a good few photos...
It was a great day. Nice to meet you Steve and Lindsay. Sorry I missed the rest of you but I am sure I will catch you all in Arnhem next year. A few pics attached for those who missed it!
Hi Guys well done for such a good turn out from WW2T. Thank you verymuch for posting these photographs so promptly. It's really good to see what the memorial looks like.
Met lots of old friends and made a few new ones too. All in all a great couple of days. Congratulations and well done to all the people who, through lots of hard work and dedication, made this event possible.
A great day and good to meet up again with friends of WW2 Talk. DPas: nice to meet you and thank you for posting your photographs. Your grandfather would have been very proud of the events that took place at the NMA. The National Memorial Arboretum grounds are a wonderful place to reflect on all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice Below are photographs taken at the NMA, including one of yours truly standing next to Major Steve Elsey (R'td) AAC ... "Nothing Was Impossible" for the likes of Steve Elsey and his Committee members, the AAC, and all those who contributed towards the organisation and fund raising, that made this day possible. My dear old Dad, first on the left in the photograph used for my WW2 avatar, was surely looking down ...... Apologies ! still struggling to attach photographs.
