While reading Trenowden's "Operations Most Secret: SOE, the Malayan Theatre", I stumbled upon the fielding of Gurkha Support Groups by Group B of SOE Far East. These ad hoc units were tasked mainly with defence of DZ's, and once the SOE party became operational, increased the manpower available for the MPAJA (Malayan Peoples’ Anti-Japanese Army) guerrilla forces under organization. Does anyone have any information about their operational history, parent regiments, etc.?
