I am looking for the casualty list for the H.M.S Vortigern that was sunk on the 15/3/1942, by the E-boat S104. This is the only thing I have not been able to find I have all the details on how where she was sunk but not the casualty list, so if anyone can assist thank you very much. The casualty I am looking into is Lieutenant William Harold George Jones and for reference I have searched Ancestry and found what I can for him in there but if anyone as anything else thanks. Regards Mike.
Forget the list I have found it sorry for wasting any bodys time. But I'm open to any more details on William apart from the stuff on Ancestry. Mike

Was intrigued with this web site I found https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&r...igern/&usg=AFQjCNGHyOAkVDKKluNnzLAEkP5igXEwEA I was wondering if this is a common occurrence taken from the web site. THE WRECK TODAY Very broken in 20mtrs, widely dispersed with items of wreckage upto 400mtrs from the main site. Due to the wrecks position it was seen to be a hazard to shipping. Despite the site being a war grave the Vortigern was dispersed with the use of explosives and wire swept to a clear depth of 19mtrs. The site is now protected under the protection of military remains act 1986. Diving on the site is permitted, however the removal of items and disturbance of the site is prohibited.
