From a mate: Americans, Ghurkas & Local Iraqis clean up the cemetary (which doesn't seem to be listed on CWGC?) at Raf Habbaniyah having deemed it too derelict to hold the remembrance ceremony that the RAF Habbaniyah Association had asked them for. Youtube Video of restoration. He tells me that the female American officer in charge of the local US base marched at the Cenotaph alongside the veterans on Sunday. Apparently the work will eventually be completed. That's what It's all about. Cheers, Adam.
It is on CWGC. I just searched for one of the casualties on the website then found him on CWGC site. http://www.cwgc.org/search/cemetery_details.aspx?cemetery=2014801&mode=1 If you search for RAF HABBANIYA it won't be there. Search for HABBANIYA
An update: A little more on: Graves of British WWII heroes finally restored after being left to crumble in the Iraqi desert for decades It has taken a long time, thanks to the many involved.
