    At first I thought it was a fake photo of a Kubelwagen with tracks from a skid steer loader but it seems real. Very nice.

    It's cropped up a few times.
    To add to the above, Vollert says seven prototypes built, all with slightly different drives.
    Specific reason he gives that none were taken forward is steering.
    Every variant lost ground contact on the front wheels as the rear hit the snow.

    I assume any very light rear-engined HT might be vulnerable to that.
