good day goodygixxer,sm,yesterday,12:48pm.re:happy vj day.! yes it was a happy day.my ship had just come into N.Y.the day before.it was about luncn time when all hell broke loose.sirens bells anything that made a noise.we were told over the intercom that war in europe was over,we had just come from the pacific war theatre.we did not know where we were going.after a couple of days we set sail and arrived at the mersey flying our pay off pennant.i had some leave joined another ship and back to pacific,untill that war ended.those were the days my friend i thought they would never end,(i borrowed those words from the song) regards bernard85 :indexCA7C9VES:
