Looks like it would be a good read "Warts and All". Nigel West wouldn't give it his support otherwise.
An interesting point is that in WWII AFV Radio Operators were still taught Morse Code - post war this was changed in the RAC that only advanced operators were taught it. Hence most of the British Jed WTOs were drawn from the Armoured Corps

His book is great if anybody hasn't managed to pick up a copy yet. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a book signing at the Shoreham Aircraft Museum. Took my cousin along who was thirteen at the time and he still talks about the time he got to shake hands with 'a spy'.
