I am looking at a German plane that crashed on the 8/9th May 1941 just north of Patrington, East Riding of Yorkshire.
The identity of the aircraft was 4042 A1+CW and was on route from Lille France to bomb Sheffield when it was caught by allied intercepters from I believed Kirton Lindsey.
The plane came down and the bombs on board exploded making a large crater and debris field. Four of the crew died and are buried in Bransburton and the survivor parachuted into a wood nearby and was taken prisoner.
I can only find info on one site www.yorkshire-aircraft.co.uk

does anybody know where I may find further information on the crew, aircraft logs or any other info please. Even looked at local archives and this one seems to be missing.

    TIA
