Hello I am looking for information and photos of He 45 and He 46 from the beginning of the war. Do you know where they were stationed? Any field airports? I am interested in the end of August and the first few days of September 1939. Where did they fly to Poland from? Every little piece of information will come in handy. I am particularly interested in the unit aufklarungsgruppe 31 where they were at the beginning of 1939. Thank you
Aufklärungsgruppe 31 had Hs 126 5.(H)/13 of Aufklärungsgruppe 13 had He 45/46 The 5th squadron was assembled in Göppingen in January 1939. In September 1939 it flew reconnaissance for the XIII Army Corps over Poland. At the end of the year it was converted to Hs 126. (XIII Army Corps: NE Breslau - Bzura - Warsaw)

contrary to my post: „Aufklärungsgruppe 31 had Hs 126“: He 45, 4.(H)/31, Brzeg/Poland He 45, unknown unit, Breslau, 1938
Oh yes ! that's the point I'm most interested in photos of 4. (H) / 31. if you had more, I'm interested: D
Would strongly assume such photos are quite rare... AufklG 31/Luftflotte 4 as Koluft*10 for 10. Armee/AOK10 Group ID code 5D + (plus individual code) * Koluft = Kommandeur der Luftstreitkräfte Brieg/Brzeg - 1.39 - 8.39 Schwieben/Świbie - 8.39 - 9.39
That´s all I have, sorry If photos of such machines are not properly tagged, it is difficult to find them via Google image search: Luftwaffe , heinkel he 45 - Google Search And unfortunately in 1945 NSDAP, Wehrmacht and British RAF had an unofficial, but enthusiastic competition of who would incinerate the most German documents. Doesn´t make research any easier Just out of curiosity: What´s your interest in this specific unit?
Do you know if any He 45 or He 46 has remained to our times? in a museum or somewhere I became interested in this unit because I have a family in the place where it was stationed
