Just wondered if anyone can help identify the mans unifrom in attached pic. Pic was taken around 1940 and it's been suggested it could be home guard or royal artillery but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance. His name was George henry bishop b 1915 Ealing/Brentford d 1983
The lanyard seems to be on wrong shoulder for the Royal Artillery. There were many other units that wore lanyards though, so without being able to see the cap badge, it might be difficult to pin down which one it is.
