Hello Everyone, My great grandfather was a combat first aid man with the 69th Armored Field Artillery Battalion. I was given his combat diary and a few photos when he passed as I was the only one in the family who had ever sat down and talked to him about his WWII service. I decided to make this thread in the rare case that someone else may have had a relative in the same unit and could help me find photos or more information on my great grandfather Delmont H McGhee. Thank You
Austin. Are you aware of 'Granddaddy tell us about the war' by Kenneth K Gowen 1998? It is the story of a chap in 69 Armd Fd Arty Bn in the Second World War. You can get it on Amazon but it is pricey. Regards Frank
