Great photo. A good way to force bowlers to pitch it up!! :D

I wouldn't like to be fielding at fine leg, especially with the tide coming in.

    another potential sticky wicket.
I'd say bat first if you win the toss (and find the pitch)

This is the world famous and infamous Bramble Bank in the middle of the Solent. It lies 1 mile north of Cowes on the Isle of Wight, and dries out at very low (spring) tides. The large vessels transiting to and from Southampton docks have to perform a 120 deg turn around it, and in any sort of wind or tide this is not an easy to accomplish. The QE2 grounded here on her last journey to scrappers, and the Hoek car carrier was beached when she had problems staying afloat. My sailing boat has a shoal (shallow) keel so I have been able to sail over the Bramble Bank several times, but it always a nervous moment, particuraly on a falling tide.
As a sailor in the Solent, and with the knowledge of most of its hazards, I think that the part time skippers of the D-Day invasion fleet were incrediably skillful to stay afloat in the anchorage, and it a great tribute to the organisation that the naval operation was so succesful.

The England cricket team have made history. Their performance in the Ashes was unbelievable and a joy to behold. Please dont mess it up on the last day.

The 2015 Ashes series has been anything but predictable, but what happened during the opening session of the fourth Test at Trent Bridge truly beggared belief:
    •Australia all out before lunch
•Shortest first innings in Test history
    •Stuart Broad's 8-15 equals fastest five-wicket haul in Tests
•Extras top-scored for the first time in Ashes cricket
•England 20-1 ON with some bookmakers to win series

A few captains and players, present and past, will be saying "there but for the grace of god go I".
