Identifying an ATS member

I have just purchased a light tan Mac that seems to have been worn by a Member of the ATS. Unfortunately I only have her surname and initials (S.A.Rose) and an indistinct and incomplete service number written on the tag inside. It starts W/3, or 5, or 8 and ends in 311, 511 or 811 with two missing numbers in the middle. The Mac is not standard military issue and was probably private purchase. A search on Google gave some hints (by A.I.) that she was an Assistant Director of the ATS and appointed an MBE, however I have been unable to confirm this. Has anybody got any ideas as to how I can find out more about her given the very big limitations on information I have on her? Thanks!

P.S. 323 hits/records for "Rose Auxiliary Territorial Service" within TNA Discovery. I discounted a "S G Rose" and a "O A Rose" as even slimmer than slim possibilities

Is there a manufacturers mark/label on the macintosh Ian?

Something that may date the mac itself (on the off chance it's post-war manufacture).

If it's a post-war mac that will narrow the field a little.

No nothing, it's very similar in style to the Macs worn by the Army Officers shown in Martin Brayleys book. I tried to add a couple of pictures but the site said they were the wrong format, not sure what I can post or not. Ian

 

Any rank insignia traces on epaulets?

Discovery service files from WO440 will not include if commissioned.

Derek on Instagram: "SOLD WW2 Women’s Raincoat Mackintosh ATS WLA A 1940’s WW2 era women’s services cotton mackintosh raincoat, possibly for the ATS, WLA or post-war WRAC. It has a cotton label with a W/ women’s service number to the nape and no manufacturing label, possibly indicating it’s a private purchase example.
