identity of this unit please 305TC

    My father was posted to the central medittaranean force in Nov 1945.
    His unit entry on his service records
    is 305 TC or could be TG. My father
    was royal engineeners and had spent
    the previous 12 months as a carpenter/joiner with the 661AW.

    Thanks for that and it now makes sence. My father then got posted to
    the 15 Base A.P.O. Would you know where ln Italy this unit was located

    Army Post Office.

    Until the 1990s, post was a Royal Engineer responsibility.

    It is now a Royal Logistic Corps task.

    My money would be on Taranto, Pula or Trieste.
