I have the flight sim of the Il-2 and the flying characteristics are apparently very accurate. I can confirm it is a b*tch to take-off & climb, seemingly heaps of torque but no real power - landing not too bad though. Manouvreability is also hopeless - a lot of anticipation required!

Well, you can't blame me then, I guess And 'barat' in Hungarian is agonisingly close to 'brat' in Russian - they both mean 'brother'. So it wasn't only magyar that gave it away
