Hello All. I'm a new member, wishing to find out more about a late friend of mine, who served with the RAF,and subsequently went on to serve with the South East Asia Command(SEAC). As far as I know, he joined the RAF, and was stationed at (order unknown) :RAF Bridgend,(now RAF St Athan),RAF Kings Cliffe,(where he became friendly with a USAAF Master Sgt, and met the actor Clark Gable whilst out drinking with him in Peterborough),and RAF Bentwaters in Suffolk. His name was John/(Jack) Ward, and originated from Greater Manchester, possibly Oldham. He went on to serve in I believe, Burma or in Malaya. He arrived back in the UK and was de-mobbed in 1946. Any replies will be gratefully received, Many thanks, SoldieringOn

It would be good to post this on the India and Burma section as more people would see it there.

It would be tough to find someone on the information given as there were so many in India and Burma in the RAF. Do you have anything else that would help?
