67th Field Regiment were based at Freiston moving from Leeds after their return from Dunkirk.
I have located and contacted an interesting museum there this morning.
I am compiling an article regarding the 67th to hopefully assist them, including photos of the 25 pounder gun in a gun pit.

They are seeking information about the local naval gun site in Defence area 35
May be a Job for Derek Barton. 1st look failed to find it on ra 1939-45.

Can anyone on the forum help with this. Maps, photos etc.

I will also give them a link to the forum this evening, as I am out shopping this afternoon.

Two places Frieston nr Grantham and Freiston nr Boston both in Lincs.
The Centenary Book places them in the Boston area.

Yes as per my post coastal defence would involve defending salt water or brackish water not defending tulips and potatoes

Peter Mennell was well known for errors in A History of the 67th Field Regt.
He admitted so in the preface.
His photo album was put together while in Palestine 1945.

A second set of photos were taken in the Holbeach area.
Using Peter Scott's lighthouse as an OP.
