    Hi,

My granddad was in 1/6 Queens (part of 131 Brigade) so would have landed in Salerno in September 1943 and served in Italy until December of 1943, when they returned to the UK to train for D-Day.

I am on a brief holiday in Terracina, Italy, and I am hoping to go on a day trip to a museum or place of interest related to my granddad's war history.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Al

    Hi Al

At the risk of teaching you how to suck eggs, have you tried Trip Advisor ?

Despite the fact that I spent so much time in Italy in WW2 I still use this excellent site to get as much info on local data before I visit.

I shall be returning to Sicily next month and have already asked many a question of the local experts.

    Have a great time !

    Regards

    Ron
