Hello and welcome You need to apply for his service records Get a copy of military service records Date of birth and death certificate is all you require plus £30 A bit of a wait but will be worth it Other forum members will be along shortly to advise you further Regards Clive
Follow Clive's advice and get an application in for his official service records asap, it's a must if you want his full story. Casualty list states he went missing 26/9/44.
