Its the anniversary of my great uncle James William Mcnee's death on 27th October. He was accidently killed in a motorcycle accident in north west europe and is buried in Bayeux Cemetery. He was serving with 26th Tipper company RASC at the time. Is there any way of finding out his whereabouts during ww2 please?
Ah yes , we met for the first time at the weekend. We share the same great grandad. We are trying to find some details before James travels to France next week.
I think this will be their war diary at Kew. Search results: "WO 171/2357" | The National Archives WO 171/2357 Description:26 Coy. Date: 1944 Jan.- Dec.
