    Hi,

I've sent the OP a PM about this new post on his 2009 topic as he hasn't been on the forum since 2014.

    Hi Robin,
I can find 8 G Allens on the FEPOW Rolls. See if any ring any bells:
On the 8th Division Pilot Roll - Singapore
    Pte G Allen - 6 Norfolks
    Pte G Allen - 1/5 Sherwood Forresters
    L/Cpl G A Allen - 5 Suffolks
    Pte G W Allen - 5 Beds & Herts
On the British Army Java Roll
    Gnr G Allen - 125 A/T
    Lt G K Allen - 21 LAA
    Sgt G W Allen - 12/6 HAA
These last 3 are marked OVS 9/10/42 which means they were sent overseas and the date corresponds to those being sent to Kuching
    in Borneo.
    Gnr G R Allen - RHQ/48 LAA marked D(ied).
Woodcarver's link to the Questionnaires on the COFEPOW site may have solved your problem but if not hopefully something will stir a memory with you or your Dad.

And I've just noticed the original post was in 2009. Oh well, better late than never!
