Joseph Tubby - RAF

Good morning all

I’m looking for information on behalf of a friend about her grandfather.

His name was Joseph Tubby who was born on 23/09/1921. The family story goes that he was in the RAF and was at Arnhem. There appears to be a matching record on XXX showing a Joseph Tubby in the RAF with a service number of 1619186.

Any information about his WW2 service would be really appreciated. Was he always in the RAF? Which aircraft did he fly? Any significant battles he was involved in?

As Peter suggests the only way is the official records do not join sites and pay money you will not find them.Do not use the data you found on the website you mentioned it could lead you up the wrong path.

To apply your friend will require
Date of birth
Death Certificate available for a small fee here General Register Office (GRO) - Official information on births, marriages, civil partnerships and deaths
Then £30 for the service records
