I am very surprised nobody ever responded to this. After suffering terrible racism in the usa, she moved, like a lot of Black Artists, to France. She was a VERY Valuable asset to The Resistance and took huge chances with her life to help the allies. It is a fascinating story..... one that any follower of WW2 would love to discover.
