LCT 413 and tug Empire Folk D-Day

    Manged to get to Colindale and check on the newspapers. The article about the Empire Folk is from the Daily Mail. I have tracked down the other reports, they are not very good copies of microfilm, but I can post them if of interest? One intrigues me: 'Ammo' ship takes her own dockers, which describes a voyage to the beachhead with 65 dockers on board 'average age 35, some over 50.' This sounds as if they were civilians?

    The extracts from the ships' logs are particularly interesting. Some of the tows photos (in the Tows Gallery" pages) are really impressive too!
