HI I wonder if anyone can help. I am trying to do some research into my grandfathers time in the HG. His unit was No9 Batt 34th County of London (london River South)BN. I need to know what Regt this unit was affiliated to. I know that some Greenwich HG were affiliated to the Kings Own West Kent Regt and wore their insignia. Can anyone tell me if LON 34 wore the KOWK regt badges. Thanks a lot Mike

Hi Mike, Structure of the Home Guard says YES - e.g. in this Regimental Affiliation/Cap Badge list by County. Cheers, Steve

If I recall correctly, County of London HG Bn wore the KRRC cap badges, and City of London Bn wore the Royal Fusiliers cap badge. Stephen.
