Lt Col GH Gardner RE - KIA Imphal

    Hi

    I am trying to find out the circumstances of the death of Lt Col Gardner who was Killed In Action on 28 April 1944. He had recently been put in charge of three Field Companies working on the Silchar Track (see attached document from 4 Corps RE War Diary). He is buried at Imphal but seems to have been buried there straight after death.
