Making a Christmas mess at Monte Cassino

    The latest I heard was that while a battle has been won, the war is not over. The gates remain closed and locked across the public road and the owner is now playing for public sympathy by claiming property has been damaged after incitement by protesters. I predict the next step will be closure because of 'safety risk'. (I base this on an NZ precedent where a forest area was closed off claiming fire risk, even though roads were public and access 'guaranteed' under the deeds.)
