I am doing research on the SOE. I have determined that ME followed by 1 to 3 digits designates a military establishment and the Special Purpose Unit (SPU) associated with that ME has the same digits (ie. SPU 47= ME 47). I am looking for a full listing of MEs used by the SOE and SRD. To date I have identified the following establishments: ME 7, 8, 10, 12, 16, 17, 20, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 32, 37, 38, 42, 46, 47, 54, 55, 57, 61, 62, 63, 65, 71, 73, 74, 83, 84, 85, 89, 90, 91, 94, 96, 100, 101, 102, 121, 122, 130, 141, 143, and 144. At first blush, it appeared that numbering might have been assigned by theater but this does not see to bear out. Any ideas on where a listing of MEs related to the SOE might be? Also, I have drawn a blank on the existence of the following Special Training Schools (STS) numbers: STS 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 27a, 28, 29, 30, 48, 55 thru 60 all of which would be located in the UK. Also I have no insights into the numbers for the STS in Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. Any ideas on what those numbers would be (STX ###). Any insights would be helpful
