Hi Colin I've moved this to a thread of its own so it gets more attention. Link to Sapper Gordon's CWGC page CWGC :: Casualty Details Hopefully someone will be able to visit in person. If so could I also suggest that since there are only 3 graves there that it'd be great if all of them could be photographed. CWGC :: Cemetery Reports
Some general photographs, including the three cwgc graves but sadly not close ups. P MECHELEN (Communal Cemetery)

Colin. Colin, do you know what his cause of death was? as he is listed as having died after the retreat from Dunkirk, so I suspect he died in hospita of wounds sustained. P
Sorry the only information was he was shot in the back taken into a hospital and died of his wounds, it was during the retreat at Dunkirk. Although it is my Aunts dad he is not really related to me as it was my uncle that was from my side of the family.
Hello, Is there any chance of a photo of Gordon Charles Clunes? Every year on November 1, we lay a wreath on the 3 graves at Mechelen. Would be nice to have a face to his name, Greetings, Filip Doms
