Hi, my mother worked at Metropolitan Vickers in Trafford Park during WW2 on G aisle. I have read the on line publications about the history of the company and cannot find details of what sort of work the women did in that part of the factory. I understand it was some kind of feeder aisle for the larger assembly/manufacturing aisles B and D, but I know nothing more than that. I recall mum mentioning making some kind of bolt but not sure if it was for aircraft or something else. Does anyone know, or perhaps you have relatives who worked on or near G aisle? Thank you.
