    Here, for anyone interested are the some of the more obscure code names for mine laying areas 1940-45

    Hostile Air - St Peterport –Guernsey
    Hostile Ozone – St Peterport – Alderney
    Iris V- Hook of Holland
    Iris II – W. Scheldt
    Nectarines plus – Fresian Islands (North)
    Onions I – Oslo (Onions Oslo garden dived from October 1944)
    Onions II – approaches to port of Drammen, near Oslo
    Onions III – southern coast of Norway, approaches to Mosse, port on eastern side of the main Oslo fjord
    Onions IV - southern coast of Norway, opposite side of main Oslo fjord to Onions III, off Horten
    Polyanthus I – southern coast of Norway, off Kristiansand South
    Polyanthus II – southern coast of Norway, off Lillesand
    Polyanthus III – southern coast of Norway, off Grimstad
    Polyanthus IV and V – southern coast of Norway, off each end of Tromo island in the approaches to Arendal and Naresto
    Polyanthus VI – southern coast of Norway, entrance to Langesund fjord
    Polyanthus VII – southern coast of Norway, entrance to Sandefjord (where there is a port of same name)
    Sultanas – Chenal du Four
    Upas Tree – Morlaix
