I came across these photo's on 'Facebook' that were posted by an ex British soldier that still lives in the area of Soltau/Fallingbostel. He was out on his quad bike and came across this sign which was erected by someone who must have had a lasting impression of the British Army! I've also posted some maps on which I've marked where the track is located:-

Never mind Montgomery Weg, I can see where 'Tank Bridge' was! Hang on a moment, just to the east of the bridge I think I can see a large Mercedes van with a queue...

Strip Wood. Now we’re talking battles!
Was it the X-Rays to the west of Tank Bridge?
In the forest to the west of Reinsehlen Camp there was the concrete outline of a boat. It must have been about 30+ metres long and I gather was used as a target for Ju87 dropping inert bombs. I wonder if it is still there.

Happy memories. Well fairly happy. I remember one particular night move up the pylon line in 0A, which had the mortar hatches welded shut in order to accommodate the steel locker with all the cam nets etc in it, and feeling sick as a very sick thing.
