As I mentioned to Owen and Adam last night, when I was at my parents last year came across a stash of old catalogues I'd kept from the 70s and 80s. All my Airfix and Matchbox kit ones I left in France last time I was there, so we'll have to do with Britains, Dinky, Corgi and Matchbox toys for now.

    Oh my God!
    I'm back in time!
Up in the loft somewhere is my Ford Transcontinental lorry as seen on front of Matchbox catalogue.
Loads of Corgi, Dinky & Matchbox stuff up there too.
I have a box full of Britains farm equipment too.
My old Dinky Foden army lorry is up Mum's.
I must ferret in my loft next week & dig them out!

My favourite was always the Dinky Tank and Flatbed Transporter .... Where oh where could that be?

That Britain's catalogue's the most familiar to me, I had lots of their knights and thought nothing of time-travelling Nazis leading them against plucky old Tommy A. I'd reckon most of those passed through my hands, and eventually fell at the whim of a box of matches (except for the mortars... they were just too cool to lose).
A fair few of them are back/still in production, though not apparently quite as well painted.

The German halftrack in post #11 was also a much-coveted toy, though rarely seen with any missiles to fire within 5 minutes of opening the box.
