    My reflex reaction was those guys look pretty comical but I'm sure they were every bit as terrifying to people as the SS when they rolled into some rural village.

    Thanks Dave & Canuck - I am going to add those photos to the ever growing pile of info regarding this odd looking bit of kit.

    It's pretty much getting to the stage where the origin / intended use of this thing will never been confirmed.

    Had to search, but it looks very similar to the Ansaldo-Pavesi Wheeled Tank Modello 1925.

    I have a funny feeling it's a later effort in the line, as I don't think I've seen the exact same detail elsewhere and it somehow 'feels' later, though probably as likely to be earlier, or exactly the standard vehicle with a few different fittings. I do not know.

    This was the image and there are differences especially the front access hatch.
    Was listed under prototypes as so probably several variations and perhaps never made it to series production.
    Interesting concept for an armoured car with turret.

    Regarding posting images from my PC, still showing error, but must be on my computer as I have uploaded this image on my pad.

    Been flicking through this thread, which kept me entertained for years over nearly 3000 posts and over a 1/4M views, and essentially we ran out of historic vehicles... Don't think there's a better 'name that' thread on the Internerd, and it's certainly fed a few similar games on other sites.

    No idea if we've had this, but what the hell:
