I just finished reading "Artillery Flyers at War - A History of the 664, 665 and 666 'Air Observation Post' Squadrons of the Royal Canadian Air Force,' by Darrell Knight, which was published by Merriam Press in Vermont; the book has already won an award from the Alberta government.

The history of the AOP pilots and observers the RCAF and Royal Canadian Artillery sent into action is something close to amazing...these guys were fearless, roaring into battle in a 130 hp-driven unarmed aircraft, to deliver the goods point-blank for Allied artillery operating in Holland, Germany and France.

The same author wrote a DC-3 history entitled "Buffalo Airways - Diamonds, DC-3s and 'Buffalo Joe' McBryan, but I have to order a kindle-reader to read that one, which is an 'e-book.'
