New CWGC Commemoration 17th June 2016

    CWGC added the following casualty to the WW2 War Dead Roll today.

    BRAITHWAITE, John Crosby DSO MC
    Lieutenant
    Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve
    Died 19.04.46 Age 52
    Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance

    NOT FORGOTTEN

    N.B.

    Research has shown that Lieutenant Braithwaite is buried at this location; the Commission is actively working to provide a suitable commemoration for him as it is not possible to mark his actual grave.

    Seems like another good result, Chris, especially as it looks like the actual grave has been unmarked.

    Was not an IFCP case. Anyway good that he will get a headstone.
