As per request, and as it seems like such good work is already being done, this is a new forum section for any work related to war dead (Civilian & Military) that have not been listed by the CWGC and have a case for inclusion there.

'Chrisharley9' will be given local moderator powers for this area only, and will hopefully potter along soon to get things rolling and answer any questions.

We wish 'em all the best; after spending some time Googling the subject it's apparent that Chris and many others have already done much excellent work in the area.
A real contribution to the memory of those who fell and were never 'written down'.

    Cheers,
    Adam.

    Chris,

    Pleased for you.

Can you pleae 'set our your stall' again here, so that we know what dates are involved, and how & what it is you are trying to achieve? And what any of us needs to do to check for possible non-comms?

    Regards,
    D

I have just realised that I may have some! or I am just not looking in the right place

I will have a sort out sometime soon, I have to have another look at the War Diary at PRO (sorry I cant just get my head round TNA!) and go from there.
My main interest is Airborne Forces and the War Diary is that of the Parachute Training School, I did check CWGC and I also have the WW2 soldiers died CD but could not find them on there.

Now this gives me an extremely good reason to go back to PRO!

Don't forget to check The Search Engine, or post here if you're stuck. Many pairs of eyes often helps.

Geoffs search engine is one of the best tools we have for both conflicts so always look there

I don't think Geoffs search engine had been invented the last time I did any searches!

I have sent my self the list of outstanding names, as my printer is being temperemental, so will print them of at work and then sometime in the next two weeks or so I will have another look!

    Regards
