Not strictly correct. When I was looking through the pre war files (up to 1936) there was an average of 300 enlistments a year - with mostly consecutive numbering.

Officer files were equally numerous (pro rata).

If you are coming over to Europe, you are welcome to join the battlefield tour that I am running to Anzio on 14-17 May 23.

We will look at the pressure that 24 Guards Brigade were under on the left flank of Aprilia as they attempted to stop the Germans coming down the Anzio-Albano road to reach the supply areas behind the front line. If they had, it would have been game over for the whole beachhead.

Have you got all three missing men files of 24 Guards Brigade for the Anzio Campaign? I could do with 1 Irish Guards to start with. I'm guessing 5 Gren Gds, and 1 Scots Gds are going to be has thick has old oak trees for 1944?

Wlll email you . I do know that files do not come under any brigade., or year.

    Regards,
    Stu.
