    Top work again, Andreas.
Always splendid to see such things being shared so openly
I can only imagine this will be a much referred/linked-to project.

    Hi Charley

Not difficult to find, since it's all happening on my computer :)

No need to apologise, and thanks again :)

Just thought it'd be good to point out, since that way you have an easy way to send comments or corrections to the author. ;)

    All the best

Let me (at this late date) add my voice to the chorus, thanks so much. It's interesting to use in conjunction with Jentz's "Tank Combat in North Africa: the Opening Rounds" and compare when equipment and manpower arrived and when it was put to use - almost immediately, except for the odd parade.

I would love to see this but the link no longer works.

I am looking for any war diaries involving any units in North Africa from 1940 to 1943.

    Ashcloud,

The two links shown here by Andreas are working in the UK.

Thanks to others here I have added two war dairies, plus 30 Corps WD on this thread. Most are typed. Caveat: I am only focused on one brigade, 18th Indian Infantry Brigade, two of the three infantry battalions, plus their assigned field regiment for a very limited period around 1/7/1942 when they fought @ Deir el Shein. See: Deir el Shein sources - July 1942

You search the area for North Africa: North Africa & the Med for diaries. WD is too short for the search function here. Or do an online search with "war diaries" + "north africa" site:ww2talk.com

Do you include Operation Torch and the advance from the west to Tunisia?

Finally, what is the purpose of such a potentially large volume target? Explaining why will probably help to get help here.

Thank you so much for your response. I am in the R&D phase of project that will involve the entire campaign. The first installment will be 1940 - 1941, then 1942, 1943 and a possible 4th installment covering the East African Campaign, Syria, Crete, Greece and the Middle East (even a possible hypothetical Malta invasion). I am looking to cover these from the perspective of units involved - so instead of trying to cover the whole battle to rather focus on a chosen unit (or units rather - there will be several in the final product) and follow them through their story of the battle and possibly their whole campaign. Might even do a few individuals too - like Rhea Leakey. Still very much in the planning and research phase now though. So getting War Diaries is invaluable to me. I will definitely look through the work you have done on the 18th Indian Infantry Brigade. Really appreciate the link, your advice and all your effort.
