Peter, I've been digging through much more of Mac's photos and have some more 120 Sq stuff but also heaps of 1933-1959 in the RAF everywhere from bi-plane training at Sealand in 1933 through to airships with the USN in 1956 etc etc - where would be best to share and preserve all that? Also would it be appropriate to share his memoirs 1913-1996 here? (200page PDF). thanks Malcolm

Hi all, stumbled on this thread while researching my grandfather, Alister Gordon Alexander who joined the RAAF in 1942 and was seconded to the RAF Coastal Command 120 squadron and served as a navigator aboard Liberators from Northern Ireland and Iceland. I have this one photo from his possessions. Any information on him would be greatly appreciated. He is standing 6th from the right. Regards Andrew scan_07 copy 2 (2).jpg

From their forage caps, these appear to be aircrew under training and who were designated as "Aircrew Cadets"

Thanks for the response. Examining the photo, there is a photographers stamp showing it was printed in Cootamundra, in NSW. Presumably during training with the RAAF
