    I had a dig for the figures on RAMs with units circa 1945. In the below the first figure is vehs reported as held by units, second figure is unit entitlements, third figure is total other holdings (with AODs, with ARGs, with Wksps or RVPs, etc.)

    As at 1800 Hrs on 13th Jan 1945;

    Armd Amn Carrs - 28 / 49 / 43 (all with First Cdn Army Tps)
    APCs - 219 / 212 / 83
    ARV II - all NIL
    Beach Bailey Bridge - 0 / 0 / 6
    Gun tower - 24 / 24 / 15 (all with 2 Cdn Corps Tps)
    WASP - 9 / 0 / 26 (all with 2 Cdn Armd Bde)

    By 20th Jan 1945 all the armd amn carrs are gone from units and other holdings goes up to 75. APCa with units down to 185 by 27th Jan 1945

    As at 1800 Hrs on 3rd Feb 1945;

    Armd Amn Carrs - 0 / 49 / 77
    APCs - 168 / 212 / 135
    ARV II - all NIL
    Beach Bailey Bridge - 0 / 0 / 6
    Gun tower - 24 / 24 / 15 (all with 2 Cdn Corps Tps)
    WASP - 16 / 0 / 15 (5 with 4 Cdn Armd Div, 10 with 2 Cdn Armd Bde)

    APCs back up to 219 held by 17th Feb.

    As at 1800 Hrs on 31st Mar 1945;

    Wallaby - 47 / 49 / 29 (was the armd amn carr column)
    Kangaroo - 263 / 318 / 203
    Beach Bailey Bridge - 0 / 0 / 6
    Gun tower - 24 / 24 / 15 (all with 2 Cdn Corps Tps)
    Badger - 7 / 0 / 28 (was the WASP column)

    As at 1800 Hrs on 28th Apr 1945:

    Wallaby - 40 / 49 / 50
    Kangaroo - 268 / 318 / 211
    Beach Bailey Bridge - 0 / 0 / 6
    Gun tower - 24 / 24 / 11 (all with 2 Cdn Corps Tps)
    Badger - 11 / 0 / 18

    Looking back at my notes from a long time ago, I reckoned that the comfortable troop carrying capacity for a single Ram Kangaroo was eight infantrymen. I know I didn't get that off a wargames site so it is most likely buried in the 79th Armd Div Final Report. I know I exercised some effort in trying to establish just how many personnel a Ram subunit could readily lift, as these are the little details that entertain me :). Also looking at the above figures for the first time in forever, it's evident that the planned expansion would have added the equivalent of two new APC Sqns (53 vehs each, 106 in total). I know that 49th added a third "F Sqn" but can't recall if this was sanctioned, but not in the event executed, for 1st Cdn as well.
