One Sherman vs an Entire Panther Column — Hürtgen Forest, 1944

Not sure how to classify this animation style

Would you call this 3D animation, CGI, AI animation, or something else? I’d like to know what people think.

 

I'd call it bullshit, but then what do I know?

 

That is bloody awful.

 

Well, at least the keen viewer is rewarded with the rare sight of a Königspanther MkIV

Artificial intelligence is in no way inferior to genuine stupidity

 

Actually, a timeless phenomenon.

Even in the pre-AI era it was possible to make BS films ... how KG Peiper was brought to a stand with oil barrels during the BoB, according to US filmmakers in 1965

 

But at least that took some effort, which would limit how much nonsense could be created!

The landscape of that "Battle of the Bulge" movie looks more like North Africa than the Ardennes. The last three pictures are dated January 1943 and were recorded near Oran in Algeria.



Robert Shaw gave some great performances but for me, he will always be Captain Quint. Maybe someone will work the AI magic and have balladeer Shaw deliver his USS Indianapolis speech and a rendition of “Spanish Ladies” while in character as Colonel Hessler.

 

They filmed it in Spain.

 

Didn't bother watching the AI slop. As von Poop said the title was enough to tell you it would be garbage. As for "Battle Of The Bulge", it's been my most hated war film for decades, worse even than U571.

 

Plenty of terrible WW2 films.

My personal worst is Breakthrough aka Cross of Iron 2, staring Burton and Mitchum - truly dreadful.
