I just watched the BBC News bulletin, featured the Christmas Dinner preparations at Camp Bastion. They interviewed the ACC director, then chatted to a few of the other chaps, this included Lance Corporal Garnish who was busily chopping green peppers. Priceless!! So forumites, anyone else heard of names that fit jobs in the forces? I think they need to be real names to make this thread run on. I remember one of Mad Mike Calvert's men from the Burma retreat was called Corporal Sergeant!! so no immediate promotion for him I guess! Let the avalanche commence.

I seem to remember there was aon officer involved in the TORCH landings called 'Pine Coffin' ... though whether this proved to be appropriate/unfortunate I'm not quite sure.
